Replace the Norcold 4-door with a residential in an Itasca Suncruiser 35p

Has anyone replaced the Norcold with a residential in an Itasca Suncruiser 35p or similar Winnebago or Itasca? If so were you able to get the Norcold out and the residential in through the entry door? I realize doors must be removed from the refrigerators. Also, what make & model residential did you install?
TIA,
Cal and Crystal

Yes, we added a GE counter depth french door refrigerator in a 2016 33c. They fit through your door sideways. Doors do need to be removed from both units. I believe you have 28 inches in the door and each unit is 24 inches so good clearance. The GE is slightly shorter than the popular Samsung so it fits better and with less “engineering”. We love the GE, so much better...and safer. GWE 19 model. Ours is black.

Weighing in late, so this may be OBE, but......

If you like your Norcold 4 door but the cooling unit is giving you fits, try https://jc-refrigeration.com/products/

They mfg a cooling unit replacement that converts your absorption unit to a compressor (residential) unit for much less than a new refer.

They also mfg a hydrogen filled and a helium filled absorption replacement unit.

Not shilling. Just passing on happiness of friend who bought the compressor unit and installed it himself.

There is a girl for every boy, but we love our 4 door Norcold, now 12 yrs old, and intend to replace the cooling unit - not giving us problems yet - with the helium filled absorption unit when we return from this trip.
