Well, after much thinking, looking, worrying, etc., we finally did the deal and traded our fifth wheel rig for a beautiful 2004 Meridian 36G. We are really excited about the new coach and have lots to learn. I do thank everyone on this site for the great posts and information that is presented.

Everything seemed to work great on the 25 mile test drive (a wonderful drive!) and I was very impressed with the CAT 330 engine power. What a huge difference between driving our pickup and 5er!

Thanks again and we will keep you posted on things as we get it home.

we have a half brother to your rig ... a 2004 39W Journey ... we have put over 40,000 miles on our since it was new in Mar 2004 ... we have been in about 40 states and 4 provinces ... across the rockies several times ... up and down some 8% and 10% grades in Utah ... no serious problems so far ...

we are enjoying our rig ... we are sure you will too ...

Welcome to the Winnebago family

My opinion is that we have some of the finest designed, engineered, and produced motorhomes made. Are they perfect - of course not, but Winnebago will take good care of you when you need things repaired. We will look forward to your reports of how things are going with the coach.

Congrats on the new rig . Our Journey has served us well. The 36G is a great floorplan...big enough but very maneuverable for its size. The 330 CAT is powerful enough for the rig.

Hope you have many happy miles and come back often to share your experiences.
