Generator junction box location '99 Winnebago Chieftain 35u

Hello, I have a 99 Winnebago Chieftain 35u and I am trying to find the 4" junction box from the generator. According to the wiring diagram it is between the generator and the transfer switch. I need to see if there is a loose wire. I traced the wires to everywhere I can see, but have not been able to find it. I loose the wire when it passes the fuel tank and have not located it after that. I trace back from the transfer switch to behind the circuit panel. The wires coming from the generator has a red coating and the wire from the transfer switch is white, so I know there is a box somewhere. I am hoping it's not next to the fuel tank or up next to the grey and black tanks. I have attached the wiring diagram with the box circled so it has to be somewhere. Thanks in advance.

John

In my 26 foot unit I had the same problem. My generator was in the back, and the breaker panel is near the front.

In the back bedroom I have a small cupboard with a cover over what might be a bottom shelf. Once I took off that wooden cover I discovered access to a number of pipes, and an electrical box. The 1/2 inch flexible conduit with the generator wires comes to there through a styrofoamed insulationed hole in the floor below the electrical box.

I took off every panel inside the rig that was screwed on covering up what was underneath, had an interesting look at lots of things.

I managed to pull out one wire first back to the generator, then the other wires were pulled out leaving a trace wire in place. To pull the wires back into the conduit I had to pull while the DW was pouring dish soap on the wires as she fed them into the conduit.

Hope this helps.
