I got a recall notice from Winnebago today.
It covers virtually every Class A Workhorse chassis built between August 2003 and Sept 2004. They claim the gas line may be too close to a frame member. The frame could wear a hole in the fuel line.
Has anyone experience this problem or know exactly where on the frame this situation exists? I would like to inspect it myself before I take it to my dealer.

Be thankful they even issued the recall, just getting them to honor their warranty and production abnormalities is a major task in itself. Remember, those high profits have to come from some where.

Yup, it's always somethin'!
I'm with you, bsmith8, I'd like to see it too. But it's only 5 degrees outside so I've gotta wait a couple months yet. If I'm not mistaken, I did hear it was near a "crossmember", so there's a clue as to where to aim the flashlight...

bsmith8: Bill, do you have the details of the recall notice (number, etc)? I'm away from home base (no mail) and at a dealer right now. No mention of the recall here.

I took my 38R in for the recall and they removed my engine cover and looked right above the engine about where the cup holder would be if the cover was on. Mine had an inch clearance, they said it had to be at least 1/2 inch or more. Didn't take long and I was on my way. The big problem for me is my counter to cracked from the cold. I have put more miles on my mh taking to the shop then I have going camping. I have had three recalls so far. Every three months I get another. I've only had this since August. Maybe, Winnie should consult Toyota on thier manufacturing processes.

Took my 05 Voyage in for this recall last month. Dealer said the MH was OK. Asked what they did and it is an inspection to see IF the fuel line is too close to the frame. If the fuel line is not too close then all that is done is the inspection.

Happy trails..........
