We used to stay at Deming, at the Low-Hi RV park a bit south of town. It was away from the interstate, relatively quiet and inexpensive, but we now go to the RoadHost just west of El Paso instead....

Thank you for the links. We have stopped at the Walmart in Fort Stockton for diesel several times and done some shopping in the store as well, but I never knew about the empty lot behind the Pizza...
