I understand how the voltage varing could effect the current readings, and am curious to here the results after he tests them hooked to Shore Power.

I am not electrical engineer, and really don't have a good answer, but my thought on the subject is that it takes a certain amount of power to get to the appliance, and those that are "branched" off...
