Mount an external camera, a little curtain treatment around the monitor, and you have a window.. :)

If I were you I would look in there and decide if you can just reframe the hole and build new trim. That might be why Don went small

The frame went in after the TV. After all, thats whats covering the screws.
Find something like a rigid putty knife or SMALL...
