Yes I did for reasons you state. It was very simple.
So here is what I did & Winnebago documented the same on my RV's file.
I bought a heavy duty appliance cord. I cut off the male end. I drilled a small hole in bottom rubber behind the fridge with the lower outside grill cover removed. I fed the exposed wire end through the hole, removed the drawer underneath the fridge to pull it through. I ran it behind the pantry and underneath the two lower drawers in MBR. I removed the corner piece in the closet and brought the wire up to the rear of receptacle that feeds the bedroom TV. I tapped the power into that receptacle. I then unplugged the Norcold power source from OEM source to my new female receptacle that is tied to my DC inverter circuit. I have the inverter on during all trips and my fridge is running of DC/AC power and no propane. I can easily switch back and forth but I have never needed too. I thought I posted some pictures? If you find the thread let me know.
