Newbie to Winnie Owners Forum

My first attempt to post a new thread was foiled because I didn't realize that I had to log in after registering. I was able to read the moderator's welcome and was able click on the link to come here and write a couple of paragraphs to introduce myself. Unfortunately I was unable to submit the post because the forum said I was not logged in. Everything I wrote was blown away.

Best wishes to all. Bye.

Thanks for the encouragement, Run4Fun! Nice to hear from you.

My wife and I begin a new lifestyle and another new journey as we transition to my retirement and becoming full-timers at the end of March. We've been camping in trailers since my parents first loaned us their little shiny aluminum Avalair and then their 32' Prowler. We've tent camped and rented 17' trailers, and now we've upgraded, purchasing our '17 Winnebago Forza 38W in late October.

I'm an automotive engineer who specialized in engine valvetrains for the last 40 years. My present employer is the global leader in the manufacture of HD Diesel valve actuation systems and compression release brakes. Let me know if you have any engine questions. I'll try to answer as best I can.

In the meantime I will have questions about equipping our coach with CB radio & antenna and Wi-Fi & Cellular amplifiers - mostly how to get the cables through the coach. I hate reinventing the wheel!

My wife and I look forward to meeting and enjoying the company of other Winnie enthusiasts and perhaps going on caravans.

Best wishes,
1GRN1
