My wife and I have an antique 1976 Itasca class A 26 ft motorhome that we are restoring. It has a Chev 454 gas engine and not too many miles ( about 70k). It is in pretty good shape but I do have some issues with it that I will ask for help.

I have the hydroboost power steering and brake system. I di have brakes but not power brakes, the power steering is good but the loss of power on the brakes is confusing as to what is actually causing the problem?

It's not uncommon for a powerbrake boost unit to fail. I did a quick search and got plenty of results - looks like you can get a replacement boost unit with master cylinder for about a hundred bucks.

Powersteering is a belt-drive pump on the engine - it has nothing to do with brakes.
