Just picked up a 2019 Vista 31BE

Saying hi everyone, brand new to RV life, just picked up a 2019 Vista 31BE in very good shape in order to travel from Burlington On, to Vancouver BC to see our son who moved out there last spring. Have a lot to learn... fortunately it fits in our drive (barely), for temp storage and/or to load it and work on it, will be storing it somewhere local. Too bad its been too cold to really get to know it so far.

One of my 1st questions around trip planning... do most people enable a tablet with GPS or just use their phone to run GPS? Thanks, looking forward to reading and contributing.

Welcome. We are quite happy with our Vista. Sounds like a very beautiful trip.

I just use my phone with the map app. I have it suctioned to the drivers window, and synced with my Apple watch for directions. Works well. I think a tablet would have to have quite a sturdy mount to avoid bouncing around.

Thanks Sundog for the reply. Do you use RV TripWizard planner software, or just GPS?

I only use the Apple Maps, or Waze app for navigation. So far only a couple of roads haven’t been comfortable to drive down, but not impassable.
