I think when you receive your "Karma" you receive a lit campfire after a pre determined number of posts, the more posts the more campfires under your Karma name. Some moderator can explain it more clearly than I.

The campfires are unrelated to the Karma.

The campfires are just a way to show how much participation a member has here. Just like at the campground.

The more posts you make, the more campfires you have.

0 TO 9 = No fire
10 to 74 = 1 campfire
75 to 249 = 2 campfires
250 to 499 = 3 campfires
500 to 999 = 4 campfires
1000 & up = 5 campfires
