Can you get eyes on the underside of the cap? Maybe in a cabinet or above TV? I'd check to be sure they aren't covering holes drilled for cable or perhaps air horns. I'd look for evidence of air...

We've had fun imagining uses, but do you plan to leave them? I'd suggest trying to remove them to prevent rust streaks. Any future antenna could be fastened by adhesive instead of magnets and washers.
