I can sometimes be slow on the uptake so let me see if I understand; you can't use the Genie in the RV because the Genie receiver boxes won't work without a Genie "master" .....so effectively you are...

This is FWIW....in 2011 I purchased the Winegard Carryout ( looks like a small igloo and my wife calls it R2D2) because I had Directv at home - still do - the unit supports 2 recievers and has worked...
