Have stayed in State Row and lower D. Both great. Don't think there are any bad areas to stay. Just fun to be had everywhere. AS said, people movers do a great job. Now if I can just get through this Minnesota winter.

Don't forget about the rolling hills of Iowa and always take lumber for levelling. Started going when there was no electricity and you stayed outside of the camp ground until you were escorted in by the police, I have seen lots of changes and have enjoyed them over the years. Everyone should go--- at least once.

Don, You may also want to mention not to forget to bring an entrenching tool. Last year I was up on lumber on the rear and sunk in the ground on the front. If you don't have any lumber to bring, there's a red barn in the front of the fairground and they have lots of cribbing. Being down in the front required less cribbing in the rear to level the coach. It worked great!
Like any good golfer, don't forget to replace your divots.
Now about the lighting ........

We were there last year for the first time great experience, was sold on the Winnebago Mtr homes before we went and after seeing how they were built was more sold, came home and this fall bought a 2008 Adventurer 35L which we will be back again this year at GNR. Great experience, already sent in our reservations, when finished there will go over to Oshkosh, Wi. for the big flyin and airshow. Great way to spend 2 weeks.

Hi everyone,
I am glad the GNR thread was brought up again. I was just thinking of giving it a "bump" today. It would be nice to see how many irv2 people will be going this year. We would like to have another "gathering" again to see everyone. I can start taking a head count and maybe get something started again. We will probably be there the Fri. before as we are taking a before trip on our way. Lets keep in touch and start the ball rolling!

My wife and I will be there for the first time. Really looking forward to it!! Would be nice to put faces to the names on here. We have reservations for the handicap section due to some walkin problems, hope this was a right choice.
We are considering renting a golf cart, any comments.
Any suggestions for a NEWBEE would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
David

Dave, I sent you a PM, but I am not sure where it went. My DH uses a Rascal Scooter everywhere, so it really doesn't matter where we park, and we have always parked in our state, VA, row. However, we have always rented a golf cart for the week also. I have the info on them if you want to do that. You have to reserve them ahead of time. There are tractor pulled wagons, People Movers, that travel the grounds continuously so that is always and option...and they are free! We had an irv2 get together last year so everyone could names and faces together. We would like to do that again and I will try to get someone to sponsor it this time. If not, we can all bring some "munchies" to share. I can get a location from Winnebago when we decide when and where. Glad to see you are coming...remember the theme...WITstock. So get your "hippie" clothes ready!

Okay, folks I have not been keeping score, well yes I have . Last count there were 28 irv2 members signed on for GNR. Now I know there are more of you out there . If we are going to try and have another get together at GNR I need to hear from you. I have been asked to let Winnebago know how many of us there will be this year so they can get us a tent. Last year we held it on Monday so we would not conflict with other events. I think that worked out well then, so Monday would be the day we would have it. I feel like the first irv2 gathering was a big success, so lets try and do it again.

We'll be there, too. Our first GNR was 6 years ago, so it's 'bout time
Will be in the Delaware row. Will anyone from Delaware be there?

Glenda, if we wanted to change to a state row, California, how would I go about it? We have rented a golf cart already.
We also will be at the irv2.com gathering too.
Please advise.
Thanks,
David

Dave,
I suggest since you have already sent in your registration to call Winnebago and ask to speak to the person in charge of registering GNR folks. It used to be Ruth Harms, but she may not be the person doing that this year. Let me know if you have a problem and I will contact someone for you. See you there.

We'll be there! Our first and we're looking forward to it. We've been to the factory and rally park before though. We'll be in the Indiana row. Regards

We will be at GNR in the Iowa Row. We are coming a couple of weeks early to the Iowa State Meeting on the same grounds. People might think of coming for that meeting; there are usually some fun things to do.

My wife Brenda and I will be at GNR early as members of the Consumer Product Research Panel for Winnebago. Any word on time, date for the IRV2 meeting? Looking forward to meeting and placing names with faces. We were unable to attend the meeting last year due to scheduling conflicts.

Hi Ron,
Rosie Dirksen and I have been playing "phone tag" for a couple of weeks, so now we are using email to make the arrangements. As soon as I hear back from her, I will let everyone know when and where the irv2 gathering will be this year. If we don't get someone to sponsor us, we can still have a party and have everyone bring something to share. It was great last year! I will keep everyone posted as soon as I know anything.

Okay, I have spoken to Rosie and things are moving ahead. I have also been in contact with Lichtsinn and they will get back to me tomorrow about sponsoring our event. I think if we have it on Sunday, they will be able too....keep your fingers crossed . As soon as I know anything I will post the info.

Well, it's gettin close now and I thought I would bring the subject back up for those that are going to the GNR. Really lookin forward to the Rally!!
First, any news on the irv2.com gathering??
One other question that concerns me. We have not been to a GNR and have heard story's about the room you have between coaches. We have 2 super slides and due to the heat will definitely be wanting to put the awnings out, as I would think everyone would want to. Being packed in like sardines does not make a happy camper!!
Any comments on this and other "details" we should know?
All appreciated, and looking forward to meetin ya all.
David
