Cleaning the front of the Navion

I finally found a way to clean the front "cab over" portion of the Navion (aka View): I got a Little Giant ladder with a Little Giant "Plank". It extends over to my existing ladder and allows me to "walk" in front of the "cab over" section of the RV. The cleaning service I tried just didn't get that top portion clean of all the bugs we picked up between San Diego and Minnesota. (Normal cost to clean the RV is ~$120). The Plank cost about $150. Now I can get all the bug guts off - particularly on the chrome lighted section on the top. I can also get up close to the whole windshield and apply rain-x!
FYI, the "Little Giant" was at Costco (a seasonal thing) but also now at Lowe's. It is really a great ladder in its own right...but with the plank I can access the inaccessible! I can also do the roof without having to climb up. I got the Plank at the San Diego County fair (there is always a Little Giant booth in the vendor hall), but you'd probably need to go on line to get it. Happy Days!

Thanks! Good suggestion. But, I'm not happy with heights!

Yeah, when we had our first View, '06 model, I put a section of scaffold on each side with a walk plank between the two and polished the front up. Now on the new rig I just stand on the solid ground because it is not as far to fall and clean it as best as possible from there, go on about my business. Time does change things but I appreciate the younger folks keeping everything shiny
