I use a degreaser that comes in a 1 gallon bottle at Home Depot. Using a weed sprayer mix whatever strength you want. Some times I use the sprayer with clean water to wash it down or the water hose....

If it's the one in your toilet room (the cheap one) and manual hand crank, you can buy a repair kit at a r/v parts store. The fix can all be done from inside the r/v, simple repair.
