    Well my quick fix I felt so goo about didn't do it.My screw that I ran into end the end of the compartment drew it up nice and tight but I think its the slide that pulls it out. So I guess its doing it the way you did

    Ended up running two larger stainless self tapping screws into the 1" part if the bar closest to the slide out. That piece is bolted to the bar that get screwed into the coach frame. I drilled two piolet holes and its locked down tight so far
