I have a 2021 Minnie TT 2529RG. A couple months ago, after driving through heavy rain near Little Rock, we got to our overnight destination to find a lot of water in our camper. Long story short, insurance initially rejected our claim stating we hadn't done maintenance on seals or something (didn't make sense since the seals that were cracked were not exposed while driving). Took it to our repair shop and they identified the source of the water being the fact that our slideout had shifted well forward of our brackets leaving slideout seals ineffective in the rainy conditions. A couple of questions:
1. Anyone ever hear of a slidout shifting forward of its brackets?
2. What causes such a thing to happen? (we hit some really bad, bone-jarring interstates traversing through the south-central USA in January and February)
3. Is there some kind of Winnebago-recommended maintenance to prevent this from happening? (I don't recall ever hearing about maintenance to prevent the slideout from shifting off its brackets.)

Thanks for the help. Trying to build my case to fight insurance...

This specific issue sounds like a fairly unique event. Slide issues are not unusual but we haven’t seen a lot of folks mentioning this exact thing.

Sorry about the insurance hassle. I’m assuming you mean Extended Service Contract insurance. They make all their money rejecting claims. So good luck!

I had a similar experience with my Winnebago Outlook; not water leak though. My slide out is the electric drive type, not hydraulic. With the slide out, I noticed that the seals left about a 1 inch gap; daylight was shining in. The dealer I took it to would not work on it because I had not bought it from them! However, he suggested that I run the slide in and hold the switch until it started beeping or shut itself off. Then run it out until it started beeping or shut itself off. (I had not been doing this). After a couple times, the slide realigned itself and I could no longer see daylight shining in! I was a little concerned about just holding the switch in after it stopped moving because I was afraid it would break something. But, later I found instructions on the internet that said that this was the standard procedure. Maybe search the internet for videos that give more details.
