Has anyone heard anymore about the Turn Signal change required in the Recall 24V-733 for certain 2013-2018 models?

Just got this reply to my email today...

Suzie and Jim,

We are still waiting on parts to release the recall. Hopefully in the next few months. Appreciate your patience!

Kind Regards,
Angie

Thank you for being a customer!

Glad somebody has heard something. I checked several months ago and they still didn’t have anything for my 2000 1636 foot Vista LX.

If you are talking about the recall for the small round front turn signal lights, I have been emailing with the manufacturer that made the original lights and now the new replacement units. My last email from them (8/25/25) stated that production should begin in mid to late September. I began my search for these units because mine are really cloudy and just wanted to purchase new ones. Once I got thru to the manufacturer, they explained about the recall and that the redesign was due to the existing units being slightly smaller than they should be. I almost got a pair of the original units in December of 2024, but they ran out, so I am waiting for the new and improved models. We shall see...

I have a 2013 Tour that is under the recall, I checked yesterday to see the status and it still shows that the solution is still not available.

Good to hear there is actually going to be a fix. Thanks for the replies.

Well, the actual notice of the recall came in the mail today with a bit of an explanation of whats being recalled. Apparently the lens or lamp on the front turn signals is 4 mm -- thats right-- 4 mm too small. So now I must drive many many miles burning high priced fuel to get to an authorized service center for a 1 hour repair to add 4 mm more lens (and maybe frame bezel?) to make the NHTSA happy. The letter says they are changing the lights? I am a bit underwhelmed by this recall. Not sure if when or how I am going to deal with it. Wondering why if this is that big of a deal why I can't just find a brighter bulb to use and stick it in myself?

The good news is that the new lights are now available. Below are pics of my old lights as well as the new lights. The lights are complete with bulbs, wiring harness, and new fasteners. For my 2017 Sunstar LX, they fit perfectly. I would suggest contacting your Winnebago dealer and see if they can ship them to you for you to install.

THANKS! Will check to see if they'd do that as the nearest dealer is over 100 miles away.

4mm good greif !
My first appointment is this Thursday at General RV for the assessment and parts ordering. Then I have to return again to have them installed. I'm going to see if I can convince them to send them to me so I can install them myself. Fingers crossed.

The size doesn't look like much but when I think of what I want the light to do and look at the old versus the new, I'm inclined to think they should be changed out, just for safety! Sometimes our practical side has to overlook our cynical side!
When I turn, I want to let folks know about that plan and that funky, skunky little dim light may not get it done!
