I like AGMs. They cost 2 or 3 times as much, but my experience suggest that their life expectancy is 2 or 3 times greater. I have 4 Cabelas, size 30.

I like to get size with 108 Amy each..they are sealed acid and maintenance free..

The Cabelas size 30 are rated at 110 ampere hours each. I have 440 ampere hour capacity with two 150 solar panels. Because I only have a 1000 watt inverter, I cannot run large appliances like my microwave off the batteries. However, everything else works just fine. I camp off grid a lot and have 10 hours on my generator.

That sounds like the setup I'm shooting for.. I have a peak 3000 watts power inverter... Just like to have a setup so we won't have any problem with running things when we boonducking. Are your solar sufficient to support your 400 amh batteries...?

Opinions ???

2007 Itasca Merdian
Optional 2000 watt Inverter
3 House batteries

Any opinions on this battery and/or suggestion for new house batteries resonably prices ($100-200)?

Duracell AGM Deep Cycle Marine and RV Battery (Group Size 31)

Thanks:confused:

Fastwhls,
I use 2 lifeline 6v agm batteries mounted on their sides for a large increase in available amps without going over 50% discharge.

I saw someone on YouTube used 4 agm 6 volts staying 6 volts last longer than 12 volts...

How much amp hour each..?? Heard some of the 6 volts amg you run them down all the way to 20% like gulf car batteries...
