I have been trying to sign into the Winnebago web site since this afternoon and have been unable to make a connection. Any one else having this problem?

FC Ontario, Hugh is it ??? I can't get through either ... must be temporarily broke or the janitor sucked up the power plug outta the wall in the vacuum cleaner! :D

Very unusual but folks go down for upgrades and maintenance. They should have a splash screen that says we regret blah blah maybe next time.

Yes I was able to get in this morning and got some information I was looking for. The one question that I still have not answered is according to the brochures and specifications neither the Winne Adventurer or the Itasca Suncruiser are no longer available on a Workhorse chassis?
Is this the case and if so are any of the other models available on a WH chassis? A friend just bought a Suncruiser 37 footer and I see its on the Ford 24,000 lb chassis.:thumb:
Yes Driver FC is Hugh

Hugh, that is unfortunately true. Winnebago Industries does not offer a W series either in gas or diesel however if you want to enjoy a Winnebago or Itasca brand motorhome you'll have to take delivery of that motorhome on the Ford Super Duty chassis.

The gasoline engine, the 8.1L Vortec is no longer being produced by GM and I believe that Winnebago Industries is only buying diesel powered chassis from Freightliner for the time being. If you can find a 2010 Workhorse powered chassis on the lot some where that would be your best bet but I believe that most of those have been purchased. One could search but I expect that the pickings will be slim.

Driver,

I doubt that FC is looking to buy a Winebago as he has a Georgetown that is fairly new. He is probably just trying to check things out plus his Georgetown is on a Ford Chassis with a V-10 and he loves it. Right FC?

Hi Tom:
No i was just checking the web pages as I have some time now and one of the newbies on the chat from Atlanta just bought a new 2011 Suncruiser 37 footer and originally they were not sure of which Ford chassis it was on, the 22,000 lb or the 24,000 lb one. Thats when I tried to get on the Winne site, but it did not work and then Driver got a hold of me later. Searching for the Ford info I found no info on WH. When I checked most of the other manufacturers they had no listing either.
Heck I got too many friends with WH units to want to see people have problems in the future. Some days Tom even you are in that friend catagory. LOL

Hi FC,

I think the 37' Suncruiser is on the W-24 Chassis, however according to Winnebago all future RV's will be on Ford Chassis with the V-10 engine. I was hoping they would go with Navistar but don't think so.

As for friends, we have been for a lot of years even before IRV2 and will continue to be friends plus someday hopefully we will get to meet in person. We might try to that the next time you go to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina or even North Carolina.

The chatter "Journey On" is from Myrtle Beach SC and they just took delivery of a 2011 Suncruisewr 37F about a week ago I believe. They said it was on a Ford chassis but I was wondering personally if it would be on a 22,000 lb chassis or a 24,000 lb chassis. Thats when I could not get access to the Wine site for 2 days and was the reason for the first post.
That was the start of this thread.
And Tom we will meet in the future for sure, and we better be friends. LOL
Tom we expect to be in the Ladson SC area for about 10 days in July so maybe then we can find time to meet.
Might even get to meet Driver, who started out as Fiver and whose father was a sports writer in Montreal at one time I believe. I have chatted with Driver since about 1995 I believe on the old Prodigy RV chat room.
Its interesting how long these forum groups have lasted.
