Looking for folks with better computer training ! Not sure this is the correct place but maybe a place to start on some questions?
I use the wire ID chart frequently and it has been evolving over time and now I find some new info and changes that I'm not understanding, so looking for comments from others who know more!
Looking for info on the chassis battery disconnect switch and wiring. I know not to expect the schematic info on after 2010 model year, so go to the wiring ID list here for info:

But I now find new info as the first pages have been added but it appears some functions are now cut off??

Does this set of notes mean anything to you folks?
Printing is not something I use for this list often but one of the big things I DO use is search!
I now find this list is no longer searchable by what I have used.
Crtl and F normally brings up a dropdown to input the terms I want to search. But this no longer works for me and that method.
Looking for info on wiring for the "chassis battery disconnect switch" but I find none of the info like wire "LR" are shown as searchable.
In theory I "could" go through 70+ pages and look for that but I have to admit it is now likely to happen!

The parts catalog is also down but that is likely just temp and will recover but if this is a permanent change in their info, I'm getting pretty low on sources!
Looking for info on what we might be seeing or expect?

Okay, it looks like I'm slowly coming up with the answer to my questions and it doesn't look good. I've enjoyed the activity and spent much time while waiting for other things to develop but it looks like that is coming to an end now.
As things have moved along in the RV world there is one big thing that I have noticed and it may not be just an RV thing!

Service is gradually becoming an afterthought and we are gradually moving more and more into just replacing things!
I'll hang around a while and wait and see how it goes but not too confident in the future!

The tendency here is to want to help you because you have helped so many others, but it's over my head. I'm guessing the folks at WBGO don't know either.

I can agree with you, though, on replacing rather than repairing. I think it's cheaper to manufacture throw-away parts, but often times it's a small inexpensive piece that fails and could be replaced if it was built to so so.

The info you have circled looks to me like instructions for employees to use with their internal systems. Given that Winnebago is an old company that pre-dates PCs, they probably have legacy systems for managing inventory and such (think green text on a black background). None of this is typical Windows commands.

Time for an update as things have changed and I am not quite so gloomy! I certainly have no better ideas of the question above but other things seem to have improved quite a lot!
The list is still not searchable as it had been before and that seems to be something I could fix---if I knew how!
But that is a lack of training combined with the fact that online info is often obsolete or so missing in details that I'm not able to figure what needs to be done.
How to convert this list to some other form that is searchable is not working for me!
online searches are getting lots of suggestions on how to run it through Adobe, etc. to get the job done but those directions don't seem to match what I find, so I'm not getting too far on that.
Being able to search seems kind of a lowball complaint, but when I can't find a wire ID to go alphabetical in the search, I need to resort to looking for a term such as "battery disconnect" in a recent discussion.
Not the fastest way to get info but it can help!
The problem with that is there are 70 plus pages of single spaced info!
I tend to go blind before doing that more than once a day!

But there is also some good news on info as the really nice interactive parts catalog has come back online. At least that allows us to FIND a part at times, even if we can't see how it is wired.

So life is not kind? What else is new?
We keep moving on and hope for improvements as we struggle to figure what they have done to us now!

Any of you better trained computer folks who would want to take the wire ID list from here and convert it to some other form that you made searchable? Then the group might copy that list you post and save some trouble when we get that far in searching for info?

For instance? If we need to find what wire feeds the chassis battery disconnect, it sure would be nice to search some better way than finding it on page 36!!
It's on the list but the first thirty five pages were pretty much a waste!

Help?

... was able to export the linked electrical guide as a searchable pdf file, but. The search feature using "Page Order" would find the word/phrase as an included part of a page thumbnail, but not isolate it in the document. So while it doesn't take you exactly to the word or phrase, it will list the pages it's on. ... helps somewhat.

The file is too large to be included into this post so I compressed it into a zip file. The forum does not accept the zip extension. Hopefully you can save the the file as described above.
