What is this?

Does anyone know what this hose is on my 2013 Ellipse 42QD? It just hangs down from the area above it and doesn't seem to have any function. Thanks.

It looks like it's for heating your basement area in cold weather to keep from freeze ups. Jim

If the furnace does not blow through it.... Try the dash HEVAC blower set on HEAT.

Take a look at the your aqua hot in the outside compartment. Should be a dial switch to turn on your basement heat. I, like others, believe that thjis is a heating duct.
