VMSpc on '99 ultimate Freedom

I would like to use VMSpc on my 1999 Ultimate Freedom. Before I spend any more time standing on my head under the instrument panel, can anyone verify that there really is a diagnostic connector under there somewhere?

Mine is a round connector about 1 inch in diameter. You should have a six or 9 pin connector

It will probably have a cover on it.

Not sure if there's any similarities, but I'll give you my plug location which is a 1999 Adventurer 34V in a Freight Liner dashboard hopes that it will help. I have a dashboard that hinges up, raise the dashboard all the way up, then adjust your adjustable steering wheel forward so it catches and holds the dashboard (A prop). My 6 pin connector is forward and to the right of the steering wheel centerline. It will be a light grey circular female recept. approx 1 1/2" in dia. mounted in a holding bracket. The distinct holed circular pattern will make in very obvious. I also have read some posts where individuals have found their plug to the left of the steering assembly, and low behind a bulkhead accessed from the underside of the drivers area (Not sure what MH they had). Hope you find it, the VMSpc will be one of the best things you'll do. It's a fabulous piece of equipment.

Thanks for the replies. If it is there on the '99 Adventurer on a Freightliner, it's surely there on my Freedom. I'll just dig deeper.

The diagnostic plug might have a cap covering the end so you cannot see the actual 6 or 9 pins. The cap just screws off and usually has a tether to keep the cover from getting lost. Ours also is a light gray color.

I know what I'm looking for; I found one in the engine compartment fitting the description. I just haven't found one under the instrument panel yet.

I also have one in the engine comp. I would move that seat all the way back and search with a bright light.

I haven't had a chance to look again. I've got to back it out of my storage building so that I can move the slide out so that I can move the driver's seat back all the way so that I can get under the instrument panel for a better look. I'll post results for future searchers with the same question.

I found it! The six pin round diagnostic connector is way to the left of the steering column and very high under the panel behind a bunch of wires and heater vent hoses. It is mounted to a fixed bracket rather than just at the end of a wire bundle that could be pulled out for easy access. I first found the cover that is supposed to be over the connector dangling on a tie rap loop and then followed the loop up to find the connector.
