Hello all! I've been lurking around the forum for a couple of years and finally got the impetus to join. This seems like a great group! DH and I have been vacation-type campers for many years now. We bought the Vista and were hoping to start full-timing this past spring, but COVID happened so we've delayed our travel plans. Meanwhile, we're putting in a bunch of mod's we'd planned to get to over the next couple of years... since we have the time NOW. lol.

Welcome to the forum! Hopefully we will all be on the road soon!

As states begin to limit travel from state to state, it's going to get "interesting" to see how it works out for road travel. Not too much trouble to see going around some states but if places like texas or Arizona begin to get too overloaded and stop traffic going through, it's a long, long way to go around Texas! Apparently the Texas effort to limit travel from La. has been dropped now that both are in the soup!

We spent full year and a half on a Thor site. Really great people, but we never could find a Thor that could pass our PDI; which ironically was provided by the Thor owners. We had basically ignored Winnebago because we wanted new and it was perceived to us as too much relative to the cost of Thors (Hurricane/Winsport). We bought the 2019 Sunstar 29VE out of Florida last year and could not be any happier. We have no plans to full time, but we drive the RV most everywhere we go when visiting etc. It is oversized SUV to us

My favorite mod was the AGS EC-30, I had the dealer install and they are still working some tweaks; but I just love it. The Safe T Stabilizer is a pain to align but it is probably the most important Mod we have have made. My only view of Winnebago misses on 29VE were no outside on/off switch for the gas water heater. If you winterize, I don't trust remembering to not turn on inside the coach, and for the Euro Loft, whenever we would lower the loft, and then later raise it; it would always catch on that D clamp for seat belt. I was afraid it would eventually do some serious damage if a person raising was not aware that it binded everytime. I modified both and neither are issues anymore.

Welcome..you are going to love your 29ve...we spent last winter in the Florida panhandle with ours and could not be happier..we especially love the Outdoor Kitchen and huge awning. We have added sway bar mods to the chassis which makes for better handling....darn shame we are forced to almost hibernate this summer but it will get better...we are booked in again this winter and hope Florida will have the welcome mat out for us....happy camping.

Yes welcome, have a new to me 2017 29VE that we've enjoyed. The layout, outside kitchen, and overall build quality made this a great replacement for our Itasca 29rq Class C we had since our boys were young. Just the wife and I of late so while more room, certainly laid out better for post kids!

I've done tons of upgrades/mods during the two months I've owned it.

Camped 3 times and really enjoy the layout with the "walkway" front to back.
