My View 24J is plagued by undercarriage rust. The Mercedes chassis is fine and I had that certified by the dealer. Everything Winnebago including storage boxes are shot and I need to replace them. I purchased replacement boxes but now it appears I'm faced with removing the floor to install them.
Can anyone give me some advice regarding this? What is involved in removing cabinets, etc. Basically gutting the interior of the coach to reach the floor removal or is the floor done in sections, so then maybe I can build a bit of confidence by removing kitchen cabinets and just the floor beneath to access the storage box beneath. And maybe floor is complex with layers? Just looking for whatever advice I can get on this. Alternatively I've considered whether I should modify the boxes and secure them differently than how they are intended with something like securing angle brackets or splitting a container into the four walls, installing each wall and then welding the walls to each other.
They have a lip that looks something like this -
