Using Rear Emergency Window for Ventilation in 2025 Adventurer

Does anyone crack open the rear emergency window for ventilation?

Escape windows should be opened frequently to prevent the seals from sticking to the frame. The only reason I can think of not to open the window for ventilation is the entry of bugs.

There are lots of folks running around who either like to make us worry or they are just a bit numb!
In case it is not on hand, this is the owner's manual for your RV and seems to show no concern about the window falling out!

Pages 2-7 and 2-8 and no mention of it falling out! I tend to have a small amount of faith that they WOULD want to mention that!

Maybe a good idea to just test it once in a while to make sure it is not sticking shut and also to have a better idea of what it takes to get out in an emergency?
Looks simple once we read it but I like to KNOW it works way before I might need iot in the dark!
My thought is that ME falling out is the bigger worry but better than staying in if things go bad?

It is hinged at the top. Do as rich said and open this window several times a year. The gaskets stick to the metal frame, which make it very difficult to open; once open rub the gasket with baby powder to help prevent sticking.
This emergency window is vital to survival if the MH catches fire, this video by Mac the Fire Guy(now deceased) is most helpful learning how to use the window.
