I have a rear view (no pun intended) camera installed at the top of the body.
The monitor has a black and white picture.
It's hard to use the picture, as everything is, to use a bad analogy, fifty shades of gray.
Does anyone know if the monitor is color, in which case, changing the camera would get a color picture, or am I looking at a complete replacement?

If I need to replace the entire system, I'd like to go with something that has more cameras, and can split the screen.

I'd be interested in any recommendation.

If it is Sony brand, it is only B&W, plus it is obsolete, no new parts available.
I suggest switching to a good quality wireless rear camera. I installed a Voyager brand, while it's a good camera, it uses 2.4gh for transmission, which is not good. Some times you get around congested areas it blacks out. Nearly all wireless phone systems use 2.4gh for transmission.
Look at more expensive brands that use a different band for transmission.

OK, thanks for the replies.
Have to do some research.
If I have to install a new system, I'd like to get one that adds side views.
Our ham radio club has a bus with six cameras, and it makes driving, reversing, and parking so much easier.

Definitely give https://www.rvcams.com/ a call. My Journey came with a B&W rear view and color side cams. They had a compatible color replacement for my rear.

They are better versed in these systems than just about anyone.
