Trying to understand the macerator setup
Passenger side had the pump and a gate valve etc no manual

When we bought this couch valve was closed opening the gate allows the pump to operate and dump with the black waste open

Questions
Do we leave it open pump gate
Is te passenger side gate pump valve directly below the toilet it appears to be
Does the waste accumulate ontop of the pump blocking the tank or is their another pipe

Does the waste drop into the tank and then pumps through the pump to the waste out

Reason for the questions is we have a terrible odor from black and hard to tell location

Picture passenger side waste pump this area smells and seeps gate open or closed

The pump area pictured passenger side compartment odor seeps into the closet
area thinking we have a blockage in the vent system possibly

We have two vents on the roof the plumbing diagram only shows one ?

The plumbing diagram for the macetator does not really give much detail wondering if the black accumulation in the pump area needs to be flushed out while running water through with the pump on

I’m going to run a scope down the vents today

Hopefully someone knows this system nothing in the manuals

When I get a new RV, my first move is to start collecting info, as I am certain I will need it.
One of the big items we have on the Winnebago after 2010, is the interactive parts drawings. If you have skipped them, take a look at all the good stuff you can see without having to crawl or take things apart!

Perhaps you have been around a bunch of working guys who have discussed the two things a plumber needs to know? Apply the first one and ignore when they get paid? That will likely explain most of the plumbing questions!

But if there are points that smell, it is likely flushing and getting the valves to work as designed is a good first step. If previous owners did not do things right, it can lead to debris collecting to jam up the valve. Leaking valves can let the liquid drain off and the solids collect as they do not run out as we dump.
Worst case, we can gradually let the tank fill with dried up solid waste and let it stick like concrete. That may mean you need to go for some extra methods to get the old gunk cleared.
Consider treating the RV tanks like we might need to do with septic tanks that have been mistreated?
Depending on how much and how bad, it may take something like harsh chemicals or some of the good bacteria products to "eat' the waste that may be collected on the walls.

I would first start with lots of water, lots of soaking and flushing as the easier to try. If you get to the harsh chemicals, do be aware of where you are dumping that load and not drop it in some campground that is on a septic system as that can shut down their whole system for everybody!

Ran a scope down he fronts vent, the cover was Missing secure clear and mostly clean just needs a new vent cap installed

The rear vent likely black waste cover was intact removed and found the vent pipe was all the way down and not on roof you can see the glue and styrofoam

So it s sitting in the tank bummer
I may have to remove both vents mounts
The front vent needs anew vent cover the holder mount is broken I’m going to use the other one to fix maybe

The waste black tank vent I’m going to have to remove pull the vent up and install a new vent mount however the issue is the other end of the how does it fit in the waste tank ?

Yes I did see the interactive drawings but they don’t give you a view just drawings and the macerator pump the manual only says their is one and to push the button nothing about the setup or how it’s plumbed the macerator diagram simply shows all the plumbing parts not where they came from

Appears that this vent is a tight clearance hole and the roof is punched up. If not for the silicone ring doubtful it ever came through the roof

Now getting it fixed no clearance?

Yes, looks like a major tree strike messed the vents in a big way!
I might look at two different ways to go on that part. There are "internal pipe grippers" but they may not be practical if not able to find a rental in that size. Idea is that it fits inside the pipe stub and expands to let you work the pipe up and out where it should have been before wrecked. glued to the cap system, it should stay.
But if not able to lay hands on a grip, taking a panel off inside is often pretty simple as they are just small staples. Sometimes going big is easier than fighting in less space?

But I'm not at all sure what you are finding when looking at the interactive parts?? Did you use the interactive drawing or only the plumbing drawings?

Not at all sure how they could tell you more about where and what you should have?

Waste drops into the waste tank. If you open the valve there and turn on the pump, the waste goes to the main drain valve. If you open that valve it goes out.
They don't show you much more because that is all there is ! Waste runs downhill unless you want it to run uphill and then you need to turn on a pump! This is the other view from the plumbing drawings and looking down from above:

This is what the manual says about dumping!

That's about all there is to tell!

Thank you was only using the drawing part

Update so the pipe is short and apparently the top of the tank sank due to nothing holding it at the top

That’s. A very tight clearance I was able to move and pull up the tube then clamped a vise grip to the pipe and that’s as much as their is of the pipe and it’s tight against the roof actually pulling the grips into the hole

I remembered a panel in the closet by the bathroom

Wish i had opened that sooner that’s were the pipe is explained the odor in the closet

See photos
New issue pipe is too short I could cut it off and extend see side of pipe what is this pipe

I ordered a rubber hose clamp for over the pipe cut and splice seems easier if it fits see photos
