TV mounting help in older 2002 Sightseer

Hello all I have an older 2002 Sightseer and I have removed the CRT the from the front overhead. I mounted and 4 point TV mount to the steel frame and added a LCD TV the articulates out. I need a way to hod it back when driving. I was thinking like adding a strap over the front of the TV but I am concerned it will crack the screen and ideas?

Two ideas to sort but that I have not used!!
One idea f you can get to the metal of the mount? I was not able to find the right size, etc but the idea is one or more of these "ball bungee" of the right size? Run it through the mount and through one of the cabinets overhead, where yu might take up th eslack with the ball?
Maybe easier to find in the right size, is a strap like used on boat covers, RV covers with buckles to take up slack to the right amount to maintain some pressure?
I think you can buy the buckles and strap of different sizes seperate if none seem the right length?

its only a 43in TV weighs only 12.5lb

Well here is my fix 4 Velcro straps ties to the old TV sub frame with fender washers for a better hold on the 1in Velcro straps. Soft side of Velcro straps on the screen side should not scratch it. looks like it will hold and be somewhat stable. will be adding soft foam to the back side of the TV to help in the event of bouncing.

I'm always a bit nervous about putting pressure on the front glass as it is only firmed up with the thin plastic around it!
The problem with glass is it gives little warning that it is unhappy!

Pretty sure most current flat screens are fronted with polycarbonate, not real glass. That’s partly why they are so light weight this days.

We just secured a 1" Velcro strap on each side. When we put the TV in travel position (flat and centered), we then bring the straps together across the middle of the TV so they overlap about 8" and snug them up before sticking them together. It has held very well so far, even on the roughest roads I might add.

True but I see a lot of TV with cracked screens on the front sidewalk after MOOOV in day!
OCB on checking Craigslist for bargains but I have too many TV now!
