A member with a 2024 Micro Minnie FLX reported that their Truma CP Plus controller operated the heat but showed no connection to the Truma Aventa Eco air conditioner, even though the A/C worked normally with its remote. Members noted that the CP Plus may need to re-detect connected Truma devices, and one RVer suggested performing a CP Plus reset while the trailer is on shore power or with 120V supplied to the air conditioner.

The suggested reset path was through the CP Plus service menu...

We have the Truma CP plus digital control panel and the Truma Aventa Eco air conditioner. The AC manual says "the air conditioner can be controlled with the Truma CP plus digital controller". There is no indication on the control panel of any connection to the AC. It has no problem with the heat, but here in Arizona we don't need heat. The AC works fine with the remote control, so we know nothing is wrong with the AC. Can anyone provide us with advice?

I can try to help until someone more familiar with the CP Plus comes along.

Your Truma Combi is both water heater and RV furnace. The CP plus is described as a controller for both functions. What I read from Truma is that if you have an Aventa A/C that the controller can also automatically switch between A/C and heat, but I find no mention of the CP Plus being used to control the Aventa A/C separately.

I have a Truma AquaGo Plus and an Aventa A/C so you see I’m not really able to give you advice on your unit as mine is not a Combi. I only know what I read at the Truma website as shown below. Sorry, hopefully some one more directly experienced with the CP Plus will chime in shortly.

Try doing a reset on the CP plus panel while plugged into shore power. The panel detects connected devices when it reboots. If you have the Truma water heater make sure its power switch is on when you do this so the panel will detect it also.

Steps to Reset Truma CP Plus Panel
  1. Activate Panel: Press the rotary push button.
  2. Navigate to Menu: Scroll through the menu options to the spanner/wrench icon (service menu).
  3. Select Reset: Click the button to enter the menu, then scroll right until the display shows "RESET".
  4. Confirm PR SET: Press the button again to confirm. "PR SET" (Preset) will appear on the display.
  5. Initialize: Press the rotary knob again to start the reset. The display will show "INIT" while the panel reinitializes, and it will return to the home screen when finished.

Thanks, RedBowTie. We're off to the mountains in two weeks. Our trailer is in storage and there's no power available. I'll try the rest then. CreativePart mentioned a Combi. I don't know what that is. Combi does not appear in any of my Truma manuals.

If you have enough battery power you can also turn on the inverter to get 120v to power up the air conditioner then do the CP reset.

When the CP plus detects the air conditioner you can control it by clicking on the camper icon then turn knob to select Heater or AC then turn knob to temperature you want.

In your picture of the CP the water heater icon is not display so be sure to turn on the water heater at the switch outside. Then the CP should detect it also.

So the AC has to be on when I do the reset? Or does it just have to have 120v going to it. I'll have the water heater on. That picture was not posted by me

Just need 120v power going to air conditioner. It does not need the fan running and cooling. Guess I didn't look close enough of the picture post. Hope this works for you.
