Toilet/Bidet Hose Repair

Our Winnie Adventurer has a bidet hose, we use it for cleaning the bowl. It is to activate when we flush the toilet, we use it to clean the bowl. The spray trigger was sticking so that it always open and sprayed whenever we flushed. (spraying feet and floor!)

Can the head be replaced without replacing the unit? Or idea on where it might be plumbed into the system?

Sure. It is a standard faucet available at any hardware store. The other end is connected to a valve at the back of the toilet. It may be sticking because the head has a lot of calcium in the line. You could just stick it in a bowl of water and 1/2 vinegar for a few hours and it may not stick anymore. Just unscrew the hose from the faucet and take it to the hardware store to get a new one. Or, take one from the in-laws kitchen and listen to the scream when they turn on the water.

Btw, it's not intended as a bidet--it's intended to rinse out the bowl if needed.

I thought it was a bidet, too, at first. Then I tried it. Fortunately no one saw the only experiment.

My sprayer leaked like yours, so I picked up a new one piece sprayer and hose at a local hardware store. It wasn't a difficult repair but it was really awkward getting the hose onto the toilet. It's been about a year and a half ago and no problems.
