I have a 2000 Journey 40 footer. Is the awning suppose to have a cover on it when it is rolled up? Is it a law that you have to have a braking system on your TOAD?
Thanks.

A big full wall slide probably won't have any cover. And yes, I think it's 49 of the 50 states that require an auxiliary braking system and breakaway cable for all Toads. Some may make exceptions under 2,500lbs. But there aren't really any Toads that light.

Just get a braking system. We've used a Brake Buddy for 8 or so years and it's been great.

As for the awning, I have seen both some with the cover some with out. I guess it depends on what was ordered. My 07's awning has what I call a cover, its a hard material that covers the fabric when rolled up. My other coach did not have that cover.

As for the awning cover over the slide outs I do not believe thay come with covers.
