So another question for the community my 34hd 2003 had the tires ( all 6 ) replaced in 2019 with 69000 miles on the coach , they are the Michelin XRV 235/80/22.5 they have been checked periodically correct air pressure covered and stored plenty of tread left no sidewalk cracking or noticeable damage when should they be replaced ? I heard someone say on the RV forum that Michelin says check in 5 years replace after 10 if they are in good condition , ( also worked in a tire shop last 12 years ) just wants some opinions

Hi TDServices,
I believe it there is no sign of damage, and you have kept them covered to keep the sunshine off of them, that they should be safe for ten years. I still have my original 2019 tires and they are doing fine.

P.S. I do know that after ten years of aging, Discount Tire will no longer repair a flat tire.

A flat tire on a Class A motorhome can be a deadly event. I don't take those kinds of risks with my wife's life (nor mine, really). I replaced the Michelin tires on my 2017 Adventurer at 6.5 years regardless of miles, wear, cracks or other forum opinions.

The last thing I wanted was to have a serious accident and have to admit I was trying to save money by not replacing my tires too early.

Some believe all should be changed at the same time but I just replaced my 6 year old front tires. Will probably do the rear next year. All looked okay, but I felt the front tires were more of a risk than the rear.

The temperature to which the tires have been exposed is a big factor in aging. The rubber degrades significantly over temperatures of 120°F. Where I travel, we rarely see temperatures over 80°F; mostly it is 60°F and rainy.

Yes. Michelin says their tires are good for 10 years unlike their competitors say only 5 or 6 years. Check Michelin website to read it. Larry 2014 Reyo P

If you don't already have a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), you should install one; it might save your life or rig!
