I want to buy some Sumo Springs for our Winnebago Spirit 31K Class C RV. It's an E-450. I have read in a few places to use the black on the rear but the lighter duty Blue Sumos on the front.

I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for the front. Black or Blue?

Answered my own question I guess. I reached out to Super springs and they recommended the black sumos for the front of the Class C motorhome. In case anyone else was wondering.

Thanks! Sorry for the wasted post

Hello, just curious. Does your unit have air bags on the rear? I have a 2019 Minnie Winnie 31G with factory installed rear air bags and may switch to Sumo Springs when they go bad. I had Safe T Plus but the black Sumos on the front last winter.

Good morning! Yes we do have the factory air bags in the rear. That helps allot compared to some of the units Ive rented in the past. I put the Safe T Plus on a few weeks ago and so far I've been really happy with it. I ordered the black Sumos for the front yesterday. I'm hoping that the combination will really improve the drive.

How has that worked out for you? Have you been happy with the Sumos and the Safe T Plus?

Yes, I put the Safe T Plus on a couple years ago along with Hellwig sway bars front and rear. They both made a difference to me. In March I replaced the tires with the same Hankook's, and had Safe T Plus install new Koni shocks, the front Sumo springs and align it. This also made a difference in the ride. I'm not sure how much the Sumo springs helped because of the new shocks. They were cheap enough and they installed for free so I felt it was worth it. If and when my air bags go bad I might switch to the Sumo springs in the rear.

We are taking a trip out west this summer so I'm trying to get it ready. I just bought Amsoil fluids for transmission, differential, and brake fluid service. I'll be changing them out in the next week or so. I think that will get me ready for the trip.

I'm looking forward to seeing how much they sumos help. I was really happy with the Safe T stabilizer. We are going on a trip later this month so it will be a good test. They "should" help with the bump steer I'd think. I see from the pic that you also tow a Jeep. How does she tow? Does it do pretty well with a load? I have not put anything behind the 31K yet but we are looking for either something to doll or flat tow.

another question, do you have leveling jacks? I'm thinking if we decide to keep the Class C for a while I'm going to make a trip to Michigan and get some Bigfoot jacks installed.

The stabilizer is definitely a good investment along with the heavier sway bars. The stabilizer definitely helped when towing the Jeep. Having the Jeep back there caused some wagging the tail. The stabilizer helped with that. I still have a little wander in the steering, a tracbar would probably help.

I flat tow with a Ready Brute Elite, it's simple and works. The Wrangler makes the whole process simple and we have some fun with it. We are not going to win any race when towing but don't want to, but the V10 will get you there. You will lose about a mile per gallon when towing.

We do not have leveling jacks. They would be nice but we are kind of used to setting up with leveling blocks. It's all a trade off with cost, weight and convenience etc.
