Hello Everyone!
I will be trading my Jayco Hybrid in for a 2018 2106DS this comming thursday.
We are excited to get this little Gem. She needs a little polishing to bring her back, but thats part of the good $$ deal we made. Cold weather camping is goign to be much warmer! :D

Hi JSBCustoms,
Great floorplan on that 2106DS
Brochure
The last time I went cold weather camping I was in a small tent which had a fixed vent on the ceiling. I never could get warmed-up all night. I always prefer the trailer/motorhome camping; much more fun that way!
Welcome to the forum.

Thanks Eagle5. Looking forward to it. Cant wait to make this one our own.
I feel in love with the Mini in Red back when I forst saw one at a campground. I idnt think the wifey would go for it but to my surprise, she was tuggin me out the door when I showed her the dealers listing. Of course Red is her favorite color. :)

Hoping to find some schematics for this unit. Winne's website seems to not really offer much for these units. Seems to be more for the motor coaches. Really love the features they offered on these though Im not a huge Shwinteck fan when it comes to slideouts. they are pretty easy to work on.

Check out this LINK for information on obtaining wiring and construction drawings for your unit.

It's Been a few days and one short Camping trip. We have about completed making the Red Winnie our own. Here are a Mods we have done.
1: Not a mod but, Polished the Gelcoat to remove the strawberry pink oxidation.

2: Added an extra shelf in the Bathroom Cabinet to hold extra stuff like the Coffee maker.

3: The Wife found some baskets that fit perfectly behind the sofa under the bed that we can load up with our dry goods, spices, etc. that we carry from the house and will stay out of the way and stay put during travel.

4: Reupholstered the Valances to match more with the red and replaced all Hinges/Handles/Pulls to black hardware to break up some of the bland-ness that the interior had.

Wow, what a HUGE difference that polishing effort made!

Be sure to post your efforts over in the travel trailers forum if you find the time. You'll get a ton of interest over there.

I started a wiring diagram thread a while back that should pertain to your 2106DS. Find it here: https://www.winnieowners.com/forums/f267/micro-minnie-wiring-diagram-360528.htm I primarily discuss the wiring under the rig vs. how the wiring is routed and divided into circuits inside. I really need to do that sometime. From your photos, yours and mine appear nearly identical except for dinette vs couch.

Hi JSBCustoms,
That is some mighty fine work you did there. That trailer looks better than new.
Regarding the oxidation on the exterior, would you please share if you used an electric buffer, your polishing compound, and any protective wax?
The dogs look like they are having fun!
Many thanks, Eagle5

Eagle5 My apologies for not responding to your post. I had an issue with this forum and my account with the other former camper brand that I traded which is both owned by RV Life and for some reason it goofed up my notifications from this forum. I just so happened to log back in and saw your post. I have buffed my camper out twice now to remove the bad oxidation. (It was really bad in some spots) I used a mix of Maguire's M6732 One step and 3M Perfect it Heavy cutting compound on a wool pad with a rotary buffer. I then followed up with Maguire's 45 High gloss polish. and for the wax I have found so far that the Maguire's Flagship premium wax does the bast so far with keeping the red from oxidizing. I'm experimenting with some wipe on ceramic sprays, but the verdict is still pending.

Sorry for the delayed response, you will see my reply to Eagle5 why I missed these. I need to get back in here and catch up on all the stuff I've done so far. I stalked your mod pictures that you have done to your camper. Bravo sir! love them and will have to do some, especially the door holder magnet.

Hi again JSBCustoms,
Maguire's products really are good, and I am glad to have your formula. I might just try that on my 35 year-old truck canopy!
Totally off-subject, but as you have dogs, this advertisement was sent to me yesterday, and it is good.
Happy Camping!

Man that was a good video. I cant do the ones like that to the point where they are taking them to the vet to cross the rainbow bridge. Tears at my heart strings too much. On the other hand, we have added an additional doggo to the family. Meet Sterling. he's a Milionis/Shepard mix. and a handful as well.

Here's a funny for ya of him catching treats in Slo-Mo "Attempting too"

Sterling is a fantastic name for him! An awful lot of saliva being strewn about there!
Below is picture of my dog Grace. She is an M'lute; the tribal dog of the Inuit.
I have had her on The Farmer's Dog since the start, and she is doing very well on that food.
Thanks, Eagle5.
