2024 24M Minnie Winnie
Roll out canopy was working great, retracted it in went and filled propane tank. Back to camp site it doesn’t work. What the heck happened. Stuck in Flagstaff with no Canopy.

It’s the awning and I’ve checked breakers and the fuse. Could it be that it rolled up backwards or would that matter?

We are gradually seeing a move away from the detailed info on wiring that we got before the 2010 model year. That leaves us doing more guessing at what to expect, but we deal with it!
In this case, we also have a question on the RV modal ? Is it possible it is a 22M? Maybe a slip of the finger?
If not a fuse or breaker problem, I would move next to the switch by the door or a relay for the awning which is just behind the switch. Not at all sure how to access this area? Any chance there is a drawer that can be pulled out to spot the relay in behind?
Where to start is always a question, so look at how easy to get to the motor on the awning versus getting to the relay and switch?
The idea is that battery and ground have to get to the motor to make it go out and then ground and battery are reversed to make it go in!

If we turn it around and zoom in to look at the switch?

I have no info on the relay and purpose. Possibly in this circuit or possibly used for the lights, etc. in some way?? Unknown from drawings I use!
Maybe power goes to relay first, then to switch?
But once at the switch, I would expect to find two wires on the center lugs that feed power to the motor. By reversing the bat and ground through the switch contacts, the motor runs forward or back!
If you get to this point, you may be able to spot some point where the battery or ground doesn't get to the motor?
It would be nice if we could tell where to expect bat or ground but they no longer give us that amount of detail.
I know it has to get there but HOW is not shown!
Always possible there is something like a fuse in the awning itself but we get even less info on that part!

AS an afterthought?
There may be great value in knowing how Winn stamps ID on their smaller wires.

If you get to a spot where you can find the ID, we can then get info on where that wire goes and that can lead to knowing things like if it is battery or ground!
For power for the awning, I see what I might call a "hint" that might be worth checking?

This "may" be the correct wire info but needs to be checked as it may also be totally unrelated! I see this wire info but I do not see an awning control box on your RV??

If I recall, there are interlocks for the awning similar to leveling jacks, like engine running/off, emergency brake on, gear selector in Park, maybe others.

My Carefree of Colorado awning stopped working. I called them for troubleshooting. They gave me some ideas but nothing was revealed. I then tool the switch out, disconnected the wiring, sprayed some contact cleaner around and reconnected. It's been working fine ever since. Sometimes, the easiest is the best.

Thank you so very much. It was helpful, I had a faulty switch, so when I reinstalled I did as you and gave it a quick spray, and all is well.
Thank You, Addie 47

Oh Morich,
Thank you so very much for the detailed explanation. It was so easy to follow with the simplified blue print type drawing.
Took out the 2 switches, lights and awning in/out. Note to you there was a 5 amp fuse behind the duel switch’s. It turns out it was a faulty switch. All work was done from the steps leading into the RV. So Easy with all you help. Thank You Again!!!!
