Slide-out extends by itself!

I've had service technicians fail to notice the flags and try to extend the slide. No harm was done but the tech noticed that the slide trying to extend at the bottom but not the top.

I've had service technicians fail to notice the flags and try to extend the slide. No harm was done but the tech noticed that the slide trying to extend at the bottom but not the top.

My ribbon actually extends to my rocker switch and with the ribbon wrapped around the switch it won't work. I actually unwrapped the ribbon and activated the switch. How stupid is that?

And I've actively been using it correctly for the past couple of weeks, both on our camping trip and in my driveway so there's no excuse. It's a good thing it wasn't an ejection seat!
