Today while I was replacing the Bedroom wardrobe door latch I found (2) nice big compartments under the wardrobe floor. One on the left and right side of the closet. Wow! I love it.
I've noticed the floor of the closets carpeting had a cutout where these compartments are, but I always figured they were an access to the engine.
I'm just now discovering little things about the bus now that I have it on our property and not in the shop. It seems when we're traveling i just don't explore much of it until something breaks or quits working.
Anyway super stoked about finding these compartments & also the latchs I found on Amazon that the dealership took 2 months to get. They are the same latchs that secure the fire place door/access too.

These are what I ordered, and are direct replacement parts on our Forza 36H just in case you need one.

Brand: Southco

Yup always have extra latches when the kids, grand kids or DW don't stop to think why it isn't closing right and just slam it harder and break the latches.
Nice on the bonus hidden storage too

I have read this post and all the related threads with great interest.
I am a retired Coast Guard chief and a Forza 36H owner.
Sorry to hear of your troubles with your rig.
I have had issues as well, but not as bad as your problems.

I have had 4 motor homes before this one (4 different manufacturers) and frankly, they all had issues.

Boats are just as bad, maybe worse.

It just seems to be the nature of the beast.

I hope your problems are resolved and you can enjoy your upcoming trips.

I travel through Tennessee quite often. Perhaps we can meet up some day.

Nice to meet you Herb, and it's great to hear from a fellow Coastie.
Yes we have had quite a battle with this rig, but i think it's mostly behind us now. At least I hope so. The dealership here is absolutely horrendous. I'm doing what I can to make repairs myself. Anyway she's ready to go.
We really do like the layout. It's rhe perfect size for us. I think the best part about it is how it handles in the road. INHO ita superb. The turning radius is outstanding. Lots of other stuff about it makes a lot of sense.
She's ours & we plan on keeping her, and your right about boats. I often refer RV ownership to that of a boat, which I'm very familiar with, so not a whole lot of surprises there.
I bought a Jeep Wrangler to tow behind us, and the ISB 6.7 Cummins handles it well. We've been on many mountain grades out west and I have Zero complaints. The Freightliner Chassis is my favorite thing about the Bus. It's very well built.
Yep, if your ever in our area PM me and we can tell some sea stories lol.
We are planning to move soon, and presently getting the house in order to sell. I'm going to hate leaving TN, (A FREE STATE) , but we want to be close to our grandkids.
Cheers!

I agree with your comments about the 36H.
The floor plan was the biggest selling point for us.
It feels very home like.
And we are full timers, so that was very important.
The Freightliner part of the rig has been rock solid. And it handles better than my class c did.

I am home based in Kansas.
We winter in Texas, South Carolina and Florida.
We usually head to New England for the summer. But also go to the North West as an alternative.
We like to spend a few weeks in Eastern Tennessee as we travel about. Mostly around the Smokies and Crossville.

Where are you moving to?
I get your reasoning.
Grand kids are why we home based in KS.

4 grandsons here.
2 in RI, and 1 in Charleston, SC.

Moving back home to Nor-cal to be with family & grandkids. We're really sacrificing a lot leaving a free state, but it's about family at this point in our life.
The Forza will be used quiet a bit taking the whole family camping. Looking forward to that.
Cheers!
