Sealing roof repair w/Welluck tape?

The previous owner had a repair done to the roof. The seam/area does not drain well and water pools near the back corner resulting in a leak near the slide area. We have that corner covered with a tarp until we can apply the sealant tape. I bought a roll of 6 inch "Welluck RV sealant tape" to do the job. Now I'm getting nervous about using this versus "why didn't I buy the more expensive eternabond tape". Has anyone used this off brand tape? Or should I return it to Amazon and spend more money? Thanks in advance for advice!

I've never heard of it, but generally they are pretty similar. It's TPO roof material with strong adhesive.

Lot's of folks just slather eternabond type tape on their roof without giving a thought to how to best use it.

Check out James on YouTube his channel is AZ EXPERT he has a lot of roof repair advice and especially for eternabond tape.

Thanks for replying to my question. I searched the internet yesterday looking for reviews and recommendations on the Welluck brand tape, without success. I have watched AZ experts videos and in particular the one on Eternabond, in which he complains about it. Makes me wish we lived closer to Arizona! The comments posted had me second guessing on whether I should return this roll and purchase the name brand. After all "you get what you paid for". LOL

In the Monaco slide out video where he used an off-brand tape, he said he would have preferred Eternabond simply for the plastic rather than hard to peel off paper backing to the tape. Otherwise they were functionally the same.
