We have the Truma AquaGo comfort plus water heater. We're about to sanitize our fresh water system. Does anyone know the proper procedure to protect the heater? Winnebago owners manual and Truma owners manual do not make it clear.

We'll use beach. There are plenty of people out there that will say "no bleach". It doesn't matter. Fortunately we don't have to winterize where we live, but if we had to, we'd have to bypass the water heater. There has to be a explanation for how to deal with that third line coming out of the hot water heater. It circulates hot water so you have instant hot water at all your taps.

We have the Truma in our View 24D. I haven't dewinterized yet, so haven't given much thought to the Truma insofar as sanitizing goes. I went with Lichtinn's winterizing method, which is to disregard the bypass valving and just empty the Truma of antifreeze at the end. So, my Truma needs to be flushed with the rest of the system.

I can't imagine the relatively weak chlorine level in flush water would have an adverse effect on the Truma. I'll be curious to see what other's have to say.
