RV Cover for my 2022 Vista 29V

I'm thinking about getting a fabric cover for my Class A motor home.
Please, give me some input on your experiences. I want something that will last in the California sun.

The way I cover my Minnie Winnie works very well for me. I need to contend with tons of rain, plus tree droppings which won't stop, but it works. I currently have a King Bird, and it is just my second cover after six years of use. I use a triple-cover system (main cover, white waterproof tire covers, and a cheap plastic top cover); here it is:

I bought one to keep snow off RV in winter. bought at half price sale from camping world. i like to cover but it is getting heavy. (I'm 61). the one i bought does not go all the way to the ground. It's about a foot short on the side of RV. i know I ordered the correct size but it's still too long. I am not complaining just these are my observations. two years ago, it was $900 minus %50 minus %10 good Sam discount. Now I am hoping it last a lot longer than any pool cover I ever bought. this one is made of softer material than a pool cover. Maybe a Pole Barn? Good luck

My experience is that it hard to recommend to another why NOT to get a cover. Based on your mindset, it is may be best to buy and see for yourself so that one may avoid being critical of what others do and have good success with.

I have custom covers on my boat and two motorcycles and they are covered 24/7. But I would not think about putting a cover on my Sunstar 29ve It is too big, too bucky, & too risky uo on the roof not too mention that it is not recommended by WBGO due to concerns with wind damage and blistering of the fiberglass ( per my owners manual)

I bought my coach new and I keep it outside in the Texas heat, and parked under a large Cedar elm tree. It get leaves and bird poop all the time. It has been store in same place 5 years see pictures.

IMO, I rather just keep the RV waxed and roof clean. If I had to fool with a cover I would not be able to enjoy my RV as much as I would like. I know it may sound counterintuitive, so that is why I say it is best to just buy one and see.

I put a premium on keeping my roof clean because it keeps the rest of the RV clean. I wax the roof once per year in the Spring. I wax the rest of the coach twice a year. The picture of the side of the RV is side that is facing the Sun 24/7.

I would use that cover money and all of the hours putting it on and taking off when needed into just keep the fiberglass properly waxed.

Incidentally, even with a cover you will still need to wash/wax the RV regularly to keep from fading. Covers helps reduce UV but not 100%, you need the wax to protect the finish. But it is your choice as I said before, your situation may be different.

I have had an Adco cover for my 3rd winter season. Lightweight, easy on, easy off, stores great when folded. Great protection from sun, rain, snow and ice. I am in Michigan as well and I could not be happier with this cover.
