Roof Access Port on 2022 Winnebago Adventurer 29B

I’m trying to run a 12V line to a Gen 3 Starlink on the roof of my 2022 Winnebago Adventurer 29B. I opened up the roof access box and there was a mini-coax cable there that seems to terminate in a panel above the passenger seat in a cubby next to the drop down bed. The owners manual says there is supposed to be a labeled port on the inside near 12V power. I’ve looked everywhere and no such port exists. I’ve done a few searches and it may be hidden behind a panel. Any ideas where exactly to look before I take apart my coach?

If not is there another easy way to get 12V to the roof?

Winnebago replied that it’s supposed to be “Above the passenger seat area cabinet is where the access is located. The cabinet access is above the loft bed area.” It’s clearly not there in my build. Has anyone used the access port in this model (2022 Adventurer 29:cool:?

Hi MattRV, I have 29B, and recently traveled and slept in loft bed. While up there, I discovered the access to rooftop cabling port. I too was searching for this access. It is located above passenger seat facing front windshield, maybe 3-4 inward from right passenger wall. My access is covered by a blank electrical outlet cover. I to have a Starlink I need to permanently install on rooftop, so please share technique if you don’t mind. For now, I just plug into external power outlet and lay mobile Starlink on the ground. Hope you find the port, but I would recommend lowering loft bed and laying up there with your head positioned over passenger seating. 😀👍🏻
 
I finally got it routed and it was a bit of a nightmare. That panel above the loft connects to a pre-wired mini coax cable which is designed to go to some kind of antenna. So that’s useless for this purpose. Here’s what I wound up doing:

In the white box on the roof I put in a voltage booster to get 24v to the dish. I bought this one on Amazon: Amazon.com

I removed the panel over the storage bay right side of the loft. I routed a 12 gauge pair of wires from the roof down into the bay. It took a while to fish for it but it came through. Then I fished the wire around the right side of the loft, around the right corner and then to a point above the door.

From there I drilled 2 holes - one in the left side of the cabinet above the door and the other in the side of the wiring cabinet above the door. The wire was exposed which I dealt with later.

I borrowed 12v unswitched power from the HDMI amp which I’m not using. I put a lighted switch and fuse in the circuit and mounted that into the wall in the wiring cabinet.

Finally I got some beige wire conduit to hide the exposed wire.

The system works great now. I now have a switch above the door when I want the system on. I used the trio flat mount on the roof right behind the white box.

The whole project took a few hours with the wire routing being most time consuming.

There may be an easier way to do this but Winnie support was no help. It’s possible there’s a channel in roof somewhere that I couldn’t find. Let me know if you do.
