Today was a straight shot along I-90. The road was in good condition, with what I would term as just 'fair' between Bozeman and Butte - many rough areas.

Starting around MP 321 the roadway goes down to 1 lane for resurfacing, and speed limit is 35mph. When we drove past the active paving area, we slowed down to about 15. There was a flagger in place to stop traffic when an asphalt carried needed to position, but we were not stopped. The repaving area ended around MP 311. There was lots of signage and warnings as you approach the construction area.

Around MP 260 the road starts to climb. There was a fairly sharp curved marked at 45mph, and it comes fairly suddenly on a downhill.

Around MP 240 it gets really steep. I was chugging along at 40mph with my 4-ways on. The summit, over 6,000 feet is at MP 233, then there's a steeper downgrade that ends at MP 230. Using my engine braking, I was able to hold my downhill speed between 45-50 with minimal brake usage.

Finally, there was what appears to be some temporary road work around MP 120 which had the left lane closed for about a mile.

Overall a nice driving day. It would have been even nicer except for some gusty headwinds that killed my fuel mileage.
