Rest Easy Sofa

Hi Ken & Joyce,
If your coach is a 2003 Adventurer G35U then the sofa gets its power from a 25 Amp. breaker located in the 12 Volt breaker panel just beside the entry door (no fuse). It should be the only 25 Amp. breaker in the panel, bottom row, second from the right as you look at the panel. If your coach is a different model, let me know and I'll look it up for you.

Thanks for the reply. I checked the 25 amp circuit breaker. 12Vdc is leaving the breaker on a yellow wire. Comming out of the sofa arm switch are five wires. Black,White,Red,White, & Green with no voltage. Do you know where the yellow terminates? 141494 is printed on the insulation of the yellow wire. My RV model is 33v. Same as yours except a shorter bedroom slideout.

Hi Ken & Joyce,
From the 25 Amp. breaker, a wire designated EEC goes to pin 2 of a 9 pin connector located below the galley cabinets. Thence to pin 3 of a 4 pin connector in the same area. From there through a wiring harness to pin 1 of a 2 pin connector behind the couch. Then to pin 3 of the 5 pin connector on the couch switch.

I seem to remember the connector behind the coach of our Adventurer came loose once. Good place to start. If you are checking voltage at each pin, be sure you have a good chassis ground as a reference point. Good luck, and let us know how it comes out.

Don't know much about fuses, but after having the coach for two years and opening up both sides to sleep on it and not pulling out the foot rests and sleeping North & South and having the hard seam hit in my back all night long.
My friend pointed out that if you pull out the foot rests and extend the sofa and sleep East&West your back is not on the seam and it sleeps much better..DUH to me.Live and Learn Good Miles

Mr. Transistor - Problem Solved. Thanks for the good info. I got a 12 vdc test lamp and followed wire EEC from the wire harness under my slide out to the 9 pin plug located under the galley. Thats where the problem was found. Not getting a good connection through the plug.
