Replacing HDMI Matrix in 2016 Journey 36M

I have a 2016 36M Journey. The matrix just went bad, all I get is flashing blue lights. I want to buy a new HDMI 4 x 4 matrix. I want to adapt the two cat 5 cables connected to the existing Matrix per tv to a single HDMI fitting that I could plug into the new matrix. Amazon sells a Sartyee HMDI extender over Cat 5/6 which will convert to Cat 5/6 to a single HDMI the Cat connections are TMOS and DDC same as on the existing splitter.
Has anyone tried to go this way, if so did it work. Has anyone done anything different?

Best of luck. When I had a motorhome with the 4x4 Matrix for a few years I consulted with Pace Electronics to replace various parts. That was 4 or more yrs ago. But their support staff was helpful.

After repairing this or that piece I finally bailed out of the overly complicated system and put a streamer at each TV.

You might also try posting at IRV2.com, there are more folks there with a wider range of RVs. So you may find more people with more experience. The system was used by a number of other manufacturers.

I solved the Matrix failure with a new Matrix and receivers from OREI, Model # UHD48-EX230-K. This system needs to use only one of the existing Cat 6 ethernet cables to connect from the Matrix to the new receivers installed at the TVs. Installation was easy. The replacement receivers do not require a separate power source, they receive power from the Matrix.
I bought the Matrix and Receivers from Amazon on sale for $373.

When it cost nearly $400 to fix that system did you have second thoughts about sticking with it?

No second thoughts.
Keeps the original design in place.
Allows multiple inputs (4) to be delivered to any TV you want. And the outputs are synchronized. Important if you have two lounge TV's like I do.
