I have a 2020 micro minnie 1800bh with the absorption fridge and currently in the process of installing 800w of solar and 580ah of lithium plus victron gear.

Because of this I would like to replace the absorption fridge it came with a 12v fridge. Does anyone know if the Dometic DMC4101 is a direct fit replacement?

What brand/model is currently in it? How many cu. ft. is it? If the Dometic doesn't fit, look at Norcold. One of the biggest advantages to a 12v is a larger cu. ft. capacity in the same size space as the absorption fridge.

You can also have the propane-120vac unit mechanism replaced by a 12v compressor unit using the existing box. It is sold in kits for DIY or can be installed by JC Refrigeration, a company in the same part of Indiana where most RVs are built. May or may not be cheaper than a replacement 12v fridge.

After two 2-way RV fridges, we LOVE our 12v compressor fridge. Keeps ice cream frozen hard in 100 degree weather! Never had that with a propane-electric fridge

That is a lot of solar panels for your size of trailer. Are they all going on the roof? I would like to see a post on your build out, with lots of pictures. Also, stock wiring from the panels to your controller or did you replace it with something bigger?

I made a thread about it here.

I did not replace the stock wiring that was ran from the factory for the solar panels as it was already 10awg and I am running the panels in series so there was no need.

Since I am running a 100/50 mppt I am actually over-paneled but it's not a big deal as the odds of hitting max theoretical generation is low.

It's a DM2672 which is a 6cu fridge which sucks because the newer 1800BH's come with an 8cu absorption/10cu 12v but the hole they made on mine is exactly for the 6cu and I didn't want to go through the hassle of modifying the area.

I ended up ordering the DMC4081 which is same exact dimensions as the DM2672 but it's 8cu. The 10cu dometic is the exact same width and depth just ~6 taller but since the heater is right underneath the fridge hole I'd rather not mess with it.
