An RVer with a 2020 View 24V wanted to remove the padded bunk wall panels held by padded buttons to investigate a flopping or tapping noise above the cab. Members said the button covers can be pried off with a thin stiff tool, revealing snap bases held by Phillips screws, and that the front and side panels can be removed. They also noted that removing the interior window frame may be needed to free the side panel, but cautioned that the exterior window may only be held by sealant, so taping it and having someone support it outside was suggested.
After removing panels, the owner found no loose wires but did find several unglued brackets holding the side panels, which were reglued and reinforced with fiberglass and epoxy. The repair did not stop the tapping noise, which still seemed to come from the upper left area above the windshield on bumpy roads. Members suggested checking whether the bunk mattress or ABS support shell was bouncing, looking behind the center console or headliner area, and noted that factory wiring they had seen was generally secured and foam-wrapped. The discussion ended without a confirmed source or fix for the rattle.
