Recommended insurance for non-fulltime (Lay-up or Restore?)

My auto insurance used to let me change the insurance based on whether or not I had my RV in storage. The first time I used that, setting my coverage to comprehensive-only, the state sent me a letter and I responded with an appropriate explanation, which the state accepted. Well, my insurance stopped providing this flexibility.


In calling around to insurance companies, I've heard that they describe this type of plan as "lay-up" or "restore".


Does anyone have an insurance company that they can recommend that provides this level of coverage service?

Do a Google search for “rv insurance for when your rv is in storage”. I’d never heard of this but when I searched as above there were several companies that seemed to offer such a thing.

I just changed my insurance company. I found that National General is part of the Allstate Group. Anyway, I have full coverage on MH but when in storage I can call National General and they do not charge for part of the premium in 30day blocks.

Now are they a good company or not can not say. Might be worth looking into

Sure, I've done that. Lots of discussion and recommendation to do what I want, but few company recommendations. I'm looking for specific recommendations.

Insurance while in storage

We use Roamly. Can remove collision while in storage. Just give them a call when you take it out and put collision back on in 30 day blocks.
